The Institute is one of the largest biotechnology centres in Australia and a hub of expertise and state-of-the-art technology platforms, including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, high resolution microscopy, nanotechnology, biomolecular interactions, rodent research and bioinformatics. Since 2007, it has housed the research division of CSL Ltd, Australia's largest biotechnology company.
