Using laboratory and clinical research, scientists at the Mental Health Research Institute study the normal and abnormal brain to improve diagnosis and treatment of:
- Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s, Creutzfeldt-Jacob, and Huntington’s diseases, frontotemporal dementia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Schizophrenia and major psychoses
- Depression, Bipolar Disorder and other mood disorders
